Mission Overview
The Exploration Division pushes the boundaries of known space. Where others see the edge of the map, our pathfinders see opportunity. This division is responsible for scouting uncharted systems, discovering new jump points, surveying planetary bodies, and gathering intelligence that benefits the entire organization.
Explorers operate at the furthest reaches of operational range, often alone or in small teams, venturing into unknown and potentially dangerous territory. They map asteroid fields, identify resource-rich locations for the Logistics Division, locate derelicts for salvage operations, and provide early warning of threats in frontier space.
Beyond pure discovery, the Exploration Division also conducts scientific research, xenoarchaeological surveys, and environmental assessments. Data gathered by our explorers feeds directly into operational planning for all other divisions, making them a critical intelligence asset for Orion's Sentinels.
